Un groupe qui aura sû se faire attendre. Découvert il y a déjà trois ans grâce à Myspace, on se contentait depuis de quelques mp3 piochés à droite à gauche en désespérant de tenir un jour un véritable album entre les mains. Il aura donc fallu trois longues années et la signature chez A&M/Octone Records (filliale d'Universal, qui a décidément main mise sur toute l'industrie du disque) pour que ce debut-album voit le jour. Mais tout d'abord petite présentation pour les newbies : Hollywood Undead est un groupe unique dans son genre, puisqu'il mixe hip-hop, rock et Post-hardcore ! Concrètement, une voix chantée, une voix rappée, et une voix hurlée. De plus les membres du groupe se cachent derrière des pseudonymes et portent tous des masques de hockey. Voilà qui a de quoi au moins attiser la curiosité. D'entrée de jeu, le single Undead, chanson hip hop avec un synthé inquiétant, flow rythmé et agressif, chant des refrains accompagné de cris scandant "Undeeeeeaaad", le groupe envoie vraiment fort et celà restera la meilleure des chansons rap de l'album. Pour la deuxième piste on retrouve le côté rock du groupe avec une grosse chanson, Sell Your Soul, qui après une intro classique chant/rap sort les guitares pour un refrain chanté/hurlé excellent. On note également la présence d'une véritable batterie et non pas simplement d'une boite à rythme. Depuis leurs débuts, trois albums sortis: Swan Songs (avec l'ancien chanteur Deuce), American Tragedy, et Notes From The Underground. Read more on Last.fm.
