Cornell Haynes Jr. (né le 2 novembre 1974) est un rappeur et chanteur américain originaire de St. Louis, qui a émergé dans les années 2000. Mieux connu sous son pseudonyme Nelly, il est l'un des plus gros vendeurs rap de tous les temps, avec à son actif plus de 30 millions de disques vendus dans le monde. Le premier single de Nelly, Country Grammar, devient en peu de temps un véritable hit et son album du même nom cartonne peu de temps après. Cet album est un mélange de rap festif et de gangsta rap, le tout fait avec un style qui est devenu sa marque de fabrique : des rimes mélodieuses et parfois chantées accompagnées de cris tels que « Oh ! » ou encore « E.I. ! ».
