Né à Memphis, Tennessee, Clarence Greenwood a beaucoup bougé pour enfin finir son adolescence à Washington, DC.Il y a entamé sa carrière musicale comme DJ pour le groupe hip hop Basehead. Cette expérience aura un impact certain sur le style musical de sa carrière solo. Aussi, il commenca à jouer de la musique et à en explorer diverses possibilités comme compositeur, guitariste, DJ, et producteur et clavier. Aujourd'hui, il a signé chez RCA records, mais sa musique reste très difficilement classifiable et à définir.
