This video is about a Easy Skillet Grilled Lamb Chops recipe using a cast iron skillet. These lamb chops are well seasoned with dry herbs & olive oil. Package of Lamb Shoulder Blade Chops ( or any Lamb Chops of your choice ( bone included) 2. Mccormick Meat Tenderizer 3. Black Pepper - 2 to 3 Teaspoons 4. Italian Seasoning - 2 to 3 Teaspoons 5. Basil - 2 to 3 Teaspoons 6. Whole Oregano - 2 to 3 Teaspoons 7. Minced Garlic - 1 Tablespoon 8. Olive Oil - 1/4 cup or less 9. Pan Coating Spray 10. Cast Iron Skillet Cooking Directions 1. Using a damp paper towel , Blot both sides of the lamb chops to clean. ( This is to remove any blood residue ) 2. With a fork ( or utensil of your choice ) , tenderize (poke) the lamb chops on both sides. 3. Sprinkle the meat tenderizer on both sides of the lamb chops. 4. Marinade ( mix 2 separate marinades. ) Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of each in a bowl. Garlic, Black Pepper, Italian Seasoning, Basil, Oregano, & ( Olive Oil - 1/4 cup or less ) . Mix Well. 5. Pour the 1st marinade over the lamb chops. Rub into the lamb chops on both sides. 6. Cover the lamb chops with foil & put in the refrigerator. Let the lamb chops marinate from 30 minutes to 1 hour. 7. After the allotted time ( 30 mins to 1 hour ) , remove the lamb chops from the refrigerator. Allow the lamb chops to reach room temperature. 8. Heat the cast iron skillet on medium to high heat. ** Any heavy bottom skillet can be used ** 9. Spray the cast iron skillet with the Pan Coating Spray. 10. Put the lamb chop or chops into the skillet. ** DO NOT MOVE THE LAMB CHOP ONCE PLACED IN THE SKILLET . ** 11. Using the second marinade , begin to baste the lamb chops. 12. After 3 to 4 minutes of cooking, turn the lamb chops over. 13. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes & basting with the 2nd marinade. 14. Once done, place in a dish or platter. Cover the lamb chops with foil to allow the juices to start rendering. 15. Dress Your Plate , add 1/2 teaspoon of herb butter . ( Optional - butter & the dry herbs. Mix well. ) 16. Enjoy !!
