Hanson est un groupe pop rock américain composé de trois frères : Isaac Hanson (né le 17 novembre 1980) à la guitare, Taylor Hanson (né le 14 mars 1983) au chant et claviers Zac Hanson (né le 22 octobre 1985) à la batterie. Ces trois frères se sont fait connaître en commençant à chanter devant un café à Tulsa (USA) accompagnés par leur parents. Ils sont arrivés en France à travers la vague des "boys-band" avec leur pop acidulée en 1997 avec "MMMbop" de l'album "Middle of Nowhere". Ils étaient ados à cette époque. Entre 2001 et 2002, lors de la préparation de leur 3e album, leur maison de disques (Island Def Jam) se montre insatisfaite des multiples maquettes qu'ils proposent. Ils décident alors de rompre leur contrat et de créer leur propre label indépendant 3CG Records. Ils sortent successivement sur celui-ci Underneath Acoustic et Underneath en 2004. Malgré les difficultés de promotions liées à l'indépendance, Underneath connait un succès important dans la catégorie des albums indépendants. Un DVD de leur tournée mondiale de 2003, Underneath Acoustic Live est sorti le 8 février 2005 en France et leur Live & Electric - Best Of Live en octobre 2005. En 2007, sort The Walk mais pour le moment uniquement au Japon, États-Unis et Angleterre. "Go" en est le premier single (Great Divide n'étant sorti que sur Itunes, et tous les fonds étant reversés à une association de lutte contre le SIDA en Afrique). En 2010, sort leur album Shout It Out aux sonorités plus blues, avec pour premiers singles Thinking About Something et Give a Little. Read more on Last.fm.
