Description of the artist Hinder
Hinder est un groupe américain originaire d'Oklahoma City, Oklahoma formé en 2001 par le batteur Cody Hanson, le guitariste Joe Garvey, et le chanteur Austin Winkler. Ils on sorti leur premier EP "Far From Close" sur un label indépendant, Brickden Records. Il s'est vendu à environ 5000 exemplaires. Les trois membres ont alors commencé à travailler sur de nouvelles chansons en 2004. Ces demos attirèrent l'attention de plusieurs majors. En avril 2003, avant le succès, Hinder s'inscrit au tremplin March Bandness organisé par la radio Clear Channel's 94.7 The Buzz à Oklahoma City. Ils ont atteint les quarts de finale parmi trente-deux participants, et perdent finalement face au groupe Falcon Five-O. Hinder entre dans le monde du rock avec leur premier single "Get Stoned". Le groupe part alors en tournée défendre son album, Extreme Behavior. Le deuxième single du groupe, "Lips of an Angel", eut un plus grand succès dans les charts, atteignant le numéro 1 dans plusieurs pays et attirant l'attention internationale. "Lips of an Angel" est maintenant reprise par le musicien country Jack Ingram. Le troisième single du groupe issu de leur premier album est "How Long".
