Rendered by Shayan Italia, a pianist-songwriter and entrepreneur from Hyderabad, the piano version of Rabindranath Tagore’s ode to our nation, is currently trending online and has become the most viewed online video of any country’s national anthem. This instrumental cover is trending under the tag #IWOULDSTANDFORTHIS. The anthem was played and captured on a limited edition Steinway D-274 concert grand piano, and was a way to pay homage to both Shayan Italia’s mother and to the country, ahead of Independence Day.
