Johann Strauss II (ou Johann Strauß Sohn - Johann Strauss fils - ou Johann Strauss le jeune, ou Johann Strauss Junior, ou Johann Sebastian Strauss) (25 octobre, 1825 – 3 juin, 1899) est un compositeur autrichien particulièrement réputé pour ses valses, comme Le Beau Danube bleu. Johann Strauss II est le fils de Johann Strauss I, lui-même compositeur. Ses frères Josef Strauss et Eduard Strauss sont aussi compositeurs, mais Johann II est le plus célèbre de la famille. On le surnomme « le roi de la valse », car il a transformé une modeste danse rurale en un divertissement brillant, surpassant ses prédécesseurs tels que Joseph Lanner et Johann Strauss I.
