UPDATE: new version covered here: https://youtu.be/TF0pnmayemY This is a quick review and tutorial on the best free software I have found for recording PC game footage (requires at least 600 series or higher Nvidia graphics card unfortunately). Download it for free here: http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience There are a lot of options out there like DXtory, OBS, fraps, Xsplit, etc. But if you are an Nvidia card user, I think this is the best of the bunch. It's the most straight forward and easiest to setup and use, and perhaps most importantly, has virtually no impact on performance or frame rates while giving you awesome quality recordings at up to 60fps. If you use AMD cards, they have their own dvr software which is pretty good too from what I've read, although I don't personally have any experience with it.
