Saudi Prince arrested: Dramatic footage of a Saudi Prince waging a bloody assault on ordinary Saudi citizens has sparked outrage across the Muslim World. Following orders from Saudi King Salman, Prince Saud al-Saud was arrested. A video circulating on social media showed, police escorting the young prince out of a house in handcuffs. Saudi prince was arrested on Thursday on King Salman’s order, according to a state broadcaster, as outrage grew on social media over videos appearing to show him abusing members of the public. Salman issued the warrant for the immediate arrest, and imprisonment of Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed bin Saud bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, a descendant of Saudi Arabia’s founder, along with a group of men who appeared in the videos uploaded to YouTube, al-Ikhbariya television reported. He also called for the arrest of the Prince’s accomplices, who are seen beating individuals in the videos. The arrest came after the prince, whose face can clearly be seen in some of the videos shared via Twitter Wednesday, unleashed a wave of verbal and physical abuse on Saudis and foreigners. “You park by my house, you eunuch, I’ll screw your mother in her grave,” he says to a dazed driver bleeding from the mouth, his clothes splattered with blood. “Do you understand?” he asks the man, who nods and turns away. In another video, a man moaning and clutching his head is led out of a house with an automatic rifle pointed at his back. Within the past week, reports reveal there was a coup to oust the Saudi Crown Prince. The Independent UK reports: The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia was reportedly forced from power, by his younger cousin over claims he was addicted to painkillers. Mohammed bin Nayef was summoned to meet King Salman bin Abdulaziz, at the royal palace in Mecca last month. His phone was reportedly seized and he was ordered to step aside in favour of Mohammed bin Salman, the King’s son, over claims an addiction to painkillers was clouding his judgement. “The king came to meet Mohammed bin Nayef, and they were alone in the room. He told him: I want you to step down, you didn’t listen to the advice to get treatment for your addiction which dangerously affects your decisions,” a source close to the royal told the Reuters news agency. A letter read out over the phone to the House of Saud’s Allegiance Council, after his dismissal reportedly said: “Because of this dangerous situation we see that, he should be relieved of his position and that Mohammed bin Salman be appointed in his place.”
