Scooter est un groupe de techno allemand, pratiquant beaucoup de genres allant de la Trance au Happy Hardcore, Electro, Breakbeat, Ambient, Lounge, Synthpop, mélangeant souvent des sons et mélodies de fanfare et de musique celtique avec une ambiance de stade, même s'ils sont catalogués dans la catégorie Eurodance. Ils ont remporté plusieurs dizaines de disques d'or et sont très connus entre autres pour leurs titres en voix dites "pitchées". Anciennement dans le groupe "Celebrate the Nun", leur musique était un style de synthpop, avant-garde de la dance musique, deux des membres ( H.P.Baxxter et Rick J. Jordan), ont progressivement monté ce groupe. Sortant au début de l'année 1994 le single "Vallée des larmes", ils sortent en été 1994 le single "Hyper Hyper", composition techno rendant hommage aux grands DJ internationaux. Ce titre fait un carton dans toute l'Europe. surtout en septembre 94 avec une nouvelle distribution de ce single. Ensuite tout s'est enchaîné, les singles et albums sortaient, se vendant comme des petits pains. Le groupe a récemment fêté ses 20 ans d'activité. Leurs compositions contiennent souvent des voix féminines accélérées (Friends, Nessaja,..), des éléments de titres connus (Suavemente, Shake That, Enola Gay,..), et pratiquement toutes utilisent des samples du groupe KLF, auquel H.P. Baxxter né le 16 mars 1966, le chanteur et leader du groupe depuis ses débuts, voue une grande admiration. Membres actuels : * H.P. Baxxter (Hans-Peter Geerdes) * Rick J.
