Hi everyone! I have just arrived in Vancouver yesterday to prepare for the my Animenz Live 2018 concerts for this weekend: 2nd, 3rd and 4th March! (Check the description of this new trailer video for ticketing information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wejw8rJDBU) This Ghibli Piano Medley was recorded in mid February to celebrate the Chinese New Year and I used my favorite Songs from 6 different Studio Ghibli Movies: 0:03 I. Laputa Castle in the Sky OST - The Girl Who Fell from the Sky (Kimi wo Nosete) 2:33 II. Princess Mononoke ED - Mononoke Hime (Theme song) 4:26 III. My Neighbor Totoro OST - Path of the Wind (Kaze no Torimichi) 6:38 IV. Spirited Away OST - The Name of Life (Inochi no Namae) 9:28 V. The Secret world of Arrietty ED - Arrietty's Song ) 11:17 VI. The Wind Rises OST - Journey - Dreamy Flight (Tabiji - Muchuu Hikou) This time, I tried to focus more on the melody and left out exaggerated embellishments, only adding an important "third melody" every here and there. Basically, I am making them less a nightmare for pianists (but without losing arrangement quality) Well then, I am off now to practice for the upcoming concerts in this week. Side note: To my big surprise, the temperature in Vancouver is not as low as I have feared.
