I didn't see many Weiss players around, so I hope this will give them an idea of what to do. She's a very fun character and this team is quite fun (Ruby assist a bit trickier compared to most). Thanks to @Gragonair (https://twitter.com/gragonair) and Yukiko, and whoever I played with (and against) that helped me figure these out. Comments/Justification below, ask questions if needed. Hopefully these don't change on release, but I'll update if that happens. Combo explanation and justifications below. 0:11 Combo 1: Basic BNB, you'll do this over and over. Careful, 5BB will whiff early on leaving you in an awkward situation, use other combos instead. 0:19 Combo 2: The assist extension doesn't add much damage but you can add supers when you need to kill. 0:30 Combo 3: The other main BNB. Big damage for 1 Assist Call. Can reach in situations where 5BB will whiff. Ignore the glyph placement when learning (marked in parenthesis). 0:39 Combo 4: This is showing how the 5AAA bnb can be started with a 2AA with some early modifications. (A jBB jumpin also works, or throw start) 0:50 Combo 5: I personally go for this combo a lot, if you can spot where an opponent will burst, you can easily swap a 5B to counter it, not a lot of holes in this combo, but you lose damage. 1:00 Combo 6: Similar to the above, can be burst safe-ish, with pretty good damage for a throw anywhere on the screen. 1:21 Combo 7: 5B is your antiair, super jump required most of the time, careful with missing your dive, cut first air sequence short if need be and extend the second one. 1:29 Combo 8: Give those slow big bodies hell with full screen launches. (I'm looking at you, Gordeau) 1:38 Combo 9: Low 2A/Far 5A into Sweep confirm, will connect in situations where 5BB will whiff. Glyph placement is tight, ignore at first. To place glyph, tap C and 5P almost immediately after. 1:49 Combo 9: 5AAA BNB modified. If you make use of the corner have a chance at a Super ender with good damage. Glyph deployment part is required. 2:01 Combo 10: Same idea as above, but with a throw starter (other starters possible). 2:16 Combo 11: Glyph 8A pickup example tricky but some people will challenge it often making it situational. 2:36 Combo 12: The most I could get out of a solo corner throw. 2:47 Combo 13: Double Glyph Corner throw (similar to above but with assist) thanks Gragonair for proving it exists before I got to it. 3:03 Combo 14: Thanks Gragonair for proving this one exists midscreen. The Hell Combo. A really good one, but there's a couple of 1-2 frame links (the assist timing and a slight walk back 5B make it a nightmare ._. I'm pretty sure these were intended for corner mostly. Not practical but cool and eventually can be replicated. 3:20 Combo 15: Style Parry, don't overthink it. 3:30 Combo 16: Parry with more damage. 3:42 Combo 17: Cross Assault combo, Ruby is wild, I'm sure there's better but I haven't seen any, show me how its done! You shouldn't be using this combo, it just looks fun. If you do use it, use your Super before Cross Assault ends so you get extra damage. 4:02 Combo 18: Combo into Astral, use it wisely. Additional comments, other routes: -A version black glyphs, if close to the corner but not quite enough to drop a B glyph and 8B followup as shown in video, can be used with an 8C followup that will float opponents to the corner, so you can keep comboing. -After j214A counterhits, you can combo off a 4A, much like the 22C Parry. -After making an opponent airborne (like a sweep+assist, 5BB in the corner) it is possible to do 214B link into 2A to continue the combo, it's tricky and a little less practical but it exists (thanks Weiss discord for the info). -ANY combo with a 4A assist call, instead of glyphing, you can actively swap partners to Ruby so she can keep comboing, use this if low life (mid screen can do a bit more damage, too). Weiss 214B and j214C are also good moments to swap to ruby if she's on screen. -Almost any air combo that finishes in jC j214A can replace the j214A with a land 236B+C super, I never showed that here, woops. That's all the Weiss tech I'm aware of, great combo ability and conversions, next up Blake! Arcsys did a great job with these two, excited for Blake and Yang (this is coming from and old school Blazblue player). All art (visual, music) is credited to Arc System Works (and Rooster Teeth). .
