I’ve been in Indonesia the last 10 days filming some of the coolest science mysteries on the planet! While my best friend Mike Cappetta and I were in Kawah Ijen (volcanic crater of Mt.Ijen) I got to perform an epic science experiment. The lake sitting in the crater of this volcano is vey acidic (Ph 0.5, more acidic than battery acid) so I wanted to see what it would do to a piece of coral which is made of calcium carbonate. The reaction was ridiculous! The water totally decimated the coral! Let me know in the comment section below if the reaction was what you thought was going to happen.
