Channa masala or Chole masala is a classic Indian Vegetarian dish prepared with Kabuli channa (garbanzo beans ).It is a fantastic side dish for chapati and pooris.It is my favorite recipe. Today let see how to make this simple Channa Masala recipe-(Kabuli Channa)- with a easy way. Ingredients needed Boiled Garbanzo beans - 1 cup Onion paste 1 medium size Tomato - 1 (puree) Green chili 2 crushed Ginger Garlic 1 tsp Salt as required Turmeric Powder -1/2 tsp Chilli Powder -1 tsp Coriander Powder -1/2 tsp Garam masala pdr 1/2 tsp Oil -3 tbsp Cumin Seeds/Jeera - 1/2tsp Whole dry red chilly 1 Sugar pinch of Method: In a pan add 2/3 spoon of cooking oil.Once the oil looks hot then add cumin seeds and whole dry red chili.Then add the onion paste and give it a stir.Then add crushed green chili into it.Again stir it.Then add salt,ginger garlic paste and turmeric and again stir it.Now add pinch of sugar and mix it.Then add the tomato puree into the mixture and mix it.Now put the cover and let it cook 2-3 minutes over medium heat.After couple of minutes add the cumin powder, coriander powder and red chili powder and mix them altogether.Then add the boiled garbanzo beans into the mixture and give a mix.Lastly add the garam masala powder and mix it and put the cover for few minutes and our chana masala is done.You can serve this with rice , roti ,bread or paratha.
